Our team of medical doctors is available to provide a focused and in-depth review of your case, supported by appropriate training and expertise in the fields below.
- Forensic pathology
A branch of medicine comprising the study of disease and injury, primarily geared to determination of the cause and manner of death, but with a skillset also applicable to assessment of the living. We are well-versed in judicious consideration of information from a variety of sources, with a view to gauging the plausibility of a range of possible injury scenarios that may be put to us.
- Neuropathology
A pathology subspecialty with an emphasis on the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and its coverings, peripheral nerves and muscles.
- Clinical forensic medicine
Medicine as applied to living patients that is of potential relevance to courts of law and other tribunals. Typical issues explored include injury occasioned by way of motor vehicle accidents, workplace incidents, and interpersonal conflict — including those with a possible sexual element.
As practising physicians who are active in the medicolegal arena, we also have the connections and know-how to bring together our clients with leaders in other related fields when the need arises — such as paediatric pathology, radiology, and other medical specialties; and related forensic disciplines such as toxicology, biomechanics, anthropology, tool mark analysis, and ballistics.
